Why Echoes was born
After the lockdowns of 2020–2026, many of us realised that life is fragile. Warren, a creator from Durban, lost his wife Marilyn and felt the silence left behind. He wished he could send one more message, one more voice note, one more laugh that his son could open years later. That wish became the Eternal Protocol and with the help of friends it grew into Echoes.
Imagine a grandmother, Margaret, who knows she may not see her first grandchild grow up. With Echoes, she records a short video every birthday, leaves advice for tough days and tells stories of her childhood. She may be gone, but her voice will still say, "I love you and I always believed in you."
That is Echoes. Not just a backup of photos – a living legacy.
