📘 How to Build Your Family Tree
Start with yourself Enter your name and click “Add to Tree”. This creates the root of your tree.
Add family members Enter a name, then choose a parent from the dropdown to attach them to. For example, add your mother with you as the parent.
Explore the tree Click any node to see the person's name and birth year. Drag the canvas to move around, and use the scroll wheel to zoom.
Your tree is private All data is saved only in your browser's local storage. It will stay here even if you close the page, but it won't be uploaded anywhere.
Click “Start Over” at any time to clear the tree and begin fresh.
